It's been tooooooo long!

Wow, I haven't written on this blog in a long long time!  I really wish I could keep on here with really cute paper projects and hopefully after the kids are out of school and done with activities I can do just that.  I have been working on my Disney scrapbook and also my 2010 book.  I have been really trying to scrap the pictures I take right away instead of waiting.  It took my 3 crops to finish my son's Boy Scout book and I don't want to go through that again!

What summer plans do you have for your kids?  My summers are pretty boring actually. We are so busy during the school year that I tend to be very lazy during the summer.

Need inspiration...

I have mentioned before I am really not creative. I have some time on my hands and pictures that need to be done yet I can't think of anything interesting to do w/ them. So I am searching online for some inspiration. I went to scrapbook.com and scrapbookcircle.com . Not feeling anything at the moment. I don't want to do too much since I am waiting for my kit of the month club kits to arrive, hopefully soon. I knew joining was a bad idea, I am too impatient, I want the stuff now! Plus I ordered that cute Bo Bunny Kitchen Spice from twopeasinbucket.com which has not been shipped yet. No wonder why prices and shipping were so good, they are paying a snail to deliver them. Actually, am worried about dinner. Have sausage defrosted but no idea what to do w/ it. I can't make sausage and peppers again, that's been a go to meal for too long. So really I need inspiration for scrapbooking AND dinner.  I am sure I will just throw some potatoes, onions and the sausage in the pan and bake it.  It's good so I shouldn't complain but I bet my kids will!!

Peace and Quiet finally

Ahhh...after what felt like a long Christmas break..it's finally quiet in the house. No fighting over a piece of lint, no asking every 5 minuetes for something eat...nothing. Of course my little guy is still with me but he play alone for long periods of time which leaves me toooooooo....scapbook in peace! I got 2 pages done today, Belle from the princess breakfast and the first page of the Disney scrapbook. Will take pictures and post as soon as I can. It took me FOREVER to finish the paper dolls for the first page. My wrist is killing me from squeezing the glue. I need to look into a different adhesive for these dolls, add that to my list. Oh, I also got the Hannah Montana Cart in the mail today. Super duper fast shipping from Ebay ID scrapbookpal.com . Shipping was free to boot! I still feel like I need a few carts to feel fully satisfied and caught up, Songbird and Sweet Treats. I will get one a month and then be done for alittle while. Well, who am I kidding, I am sure Cricut will come out with another must have cart.

No scrapbooking today:o(

I really had great intentions of getting some pages done today. But I woke up at noon. I haven't woken up that late since college, seriously. Christmas vacation has taken it's toll on me and I am looking forward to getting back to my normal routine. That won't be until Tuesday though, when hubby goes back to work. Anyway, like I said, I really thought today I could get some pages done but life gets in the way. Cleaning my daughters room, taking the tree down and making dinner ruined my plans. I did however purchase the Kitchen Spice collection from Bo Bunny on twopeasinabucket.com. Oh and a MS circle punch. I have been insprired by seeing trees w/ cut circles as leaves, I had to get a punch. I guess I could have looked at my many carts and see if I could cut small circles, I think Storybook has it, but I didn't. I will post pictures of my BB haul 1) When I get it and 2). when I figure out how to post pictures. I think they will really 'spice' up my blog!

Loving Paper Dolls Cart!!

Today I got some time to make a page for my Disney 2009 scrapbook. My kids helped me with our Ariel picture. My 12 year old made this sweet little mermaid using Paper Doll dress up! This layout was a snap to put together, taking inspiration from scrapbook.com's layout gallery. I admit time and time again, I am not creative but I can follow a pattern. I give credit where it's due and when it's a layout I came up with (which is rare) I will let you know. Now to figure out how to post pictures....I did it!

Some new goodies to start my new year...

My Christmas gifts started in October. My husband said he had to pick up something in town but we really went to AC Moore and he bought me a Cricut Expression!! What a lucky girl I am! It came with 4 carts and I already had 2, Storybook and Mickey Font, that I bought for crops that had Cricuts to use. Christmas morning I wasn't really expecting anything but slippers when hubby pulled out 2 gifts for me, Everyday Paper Dolls and Paper Doll Dress Up!! Woo Hoo!! I started looking at what can be done with the carts when I realized more can be done with the dolls eyes. I am not creative or artistic, drawing eyes will not be easy for me. Sooo I discovered peachykeen.com which sells cute stamps you can use for eyes for the dolls! How cool is that? I received those in the mail the other day but haven't had a chance to use them. I am hoping once the kids go back to school I will have time to play around with all my new stuff. I also got Mickey and Friends cart, it looks great, I love the borders it can print, what a bonus feature! I still want a few more carts, some Stickles and I really want the Spellbinders Nestabilities dies. I seem to always have a long list of things I want.....

My first scrapbook experience was only a year ago!

It's been almost a year since I discovered the experience of scrapbooking. My son was a Cub Scout about to cross over to Boy Scouts. I had hundreds of photo's on the computer of Pine Wood Derbys, Raingutter Regattas, den meetings. As a gift for his Blue and Gold banquet I decided to make him a scrapbook. A good friend of mine was running a crop at the school and suggested I come to make this book. What a great idea! 10 hours of uninterupted picture glueing! Just what I needed. I went to Michael's, I think my first time in the store, used a coupon and got a Cub Scout scrapbook. I looked inside, 10 page protectors, should be enough I thought! Later that night sat down at my computer, logged onto Walmart.com to upload my photo's. Hmmm....300 pictures...could that be right? Well, I guess, it's 5 years worth of photo's. Pick them up at Walmart, find some decorative edge scirrors my kids had, had some cardstock and headed to the crop w/ a bag full of stuff. When I walked in, someone asked if I needed the palet to take the car for all my stuff. No silly! All I need is what it's in this bag! 10 hours later, 20 finished layouts and we were only on his Wolf year! But after seeing all the fabulous layouts others were creating, I was hooked. The next day I ran to AC Moore and purchased a ton of stuff. Now I need 2 trips to the car w/ the palet for all my supplies, what a difference a year makes!
